Hi all. I have a Yanmar 186D with a loader. The loader recently started to graon on raising. Uping the RPM helped but I thought I was just abusing it so I greased all fittings to be sure and still got the noise. I do not have a book on loaders and this is my first tractor so I am wondering if I need to grease the cylinder rods or ? Hydraulic oil level is fine. It makes the noise throughout the up cycle. Thanks for any clues on loader maintenance. (oh, the loader seems to work fine otherwise - holds a weight and no leaks that I can see yet)Steve

If it is a Yanmar loader there are owner's manuals available. for manual or parts contact me at sheaftractor@coiinc.com or 815-2843226. If it is groaning I,d say you sought the right remedy. Operate it some & then regrease. The grease may not have gotten all the way around the pins. ....

Len-I used a kubota 9200HST, and the loader groans when being raised. It seems to groan more under load. It sounded like the hydraulic pump was mad, and notthe loader. The tractor made the same noice when I tried to pull a stuck post hole digger out of the ground with the 3 pt hitch. I let the owner know and they didn't seem too concerned. If it was my tractor, I would have swapped outthe fluid, and new filets, and tried again.Does this sound like the type of groan you have, or is it more of an issue with theloader pivots? ....

Change your hydraulic fluid filter. It may be clogged. Had the same problem and that was the solution. ....

Len-You win! After making sure it was lubed and operating it several times, the groans stopped. Seems like it should have been ok, less than 10 hours since it had been lubed last, but who knows? At least it works now!!Thanks! ....

CAUTION: if your loader "groans" after 10 hrs work since lube, your using an inadequate type of lube!!!!!!I work my 3 Kubota commercially, and they don't groan after 25hrs work.....check that it is high quality "EXTREME PRESSURE" grease in the gun. ....
